Fresh start
if you have been to this site before, it is likely you now find yourself looking at a new layout. I felt the old layout had too many features which wasn’t used, so I made my own theme instead. This is pretty much as simple as wordpress gets; no comments, no sidebar, no adds, no search function, no archives, no pages, no nothing. At some point I might add a search function though, but it’s not really necessary for a while.
Another reason to call this post ‘fresh start’ is that I’ve kinda stopped posting completely. Most of the posts and pages on the old site was outdated and pretty much useless, plus the database was filled with stuff I had tested throughout the years. It was time to clean up and start over. In the future I will still not be posting too often, since I don’t feel that is needed, but I will instead post longer and a bit more in-depth stories about the stuff I do and the stuff I find interesting.
These days I’m spending doing a bit of graphic and frontend work for Just-Eat. Those of you that order takeout from time to time, might know them, but for the people that don’t, here’s a quick briefing. Just-Eat was started a few years ago here in Denmark, as a basic service to order food from the web. Today it has business in 8 countries with more than 7000 restaurants to order from in total. The stuff I do for them is rarely seen by the public, since it’s mostly SEO and small graphical tasks. In the future I will be making small sites for the restaurants in Denmark though.
More recently I’ve made a small site for a project called PizzAmour, which is some sort of healthy pizza-project Just-Eat made up. The link is www.pizzamour.dk, but can also be seen on the image below:

It’s extremely simplistic, but I did add some fancyness to it though. If you click where it says ‘Se alle restauranter…’ in red bold text, it will open a nested accordion. I’ve tried a few modifications to the original accordion JQuery script, but this morning I found this one http://adipalaz.awardspace.com/experiments/jquery/nested_accordion.html and it’s the one I’ve used on the site. Implementation couldn’t be easier and it’s very open for costumizations (as JQuery always is). In short, I would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat.
Another interesting JQuery script is the one used to open the image above. I’m using it as a wordpress plugin called Fullsize, but it’s basicly what’s shown on this site http://www.addfullsize.com/. I probably wouldn’t go as far as recommending it as a webstandard like they do on that site though – it does have it’s flaws in a few browsers.
Anywho, that about sums it up for today. I hope I wrote anything useful ^^
